“The American Dream”
- The famous speech from Martin Luther King Jr., “The American Dream” had a powerful message as an outcome.
- It talked about how African Americans can not achieve a lot of goal due to their color and the lack of Culture diversity acceptance in the United States. King Jr states, “America is essentially a dream, a dream yet unfulfilled.,” analysed from the Declaration of independence, and interpreted as unpositive.
- King Jr. felt the Declaration was not successfully helping his race because of the unrealistic situations occurring while the Declaration was already written.
- During his speech he explains how “it does not say mean, it says all men. It does not say all white men, but it says all men which includes black men” adding to the interpretation he shows how it is time to be treat like such.
- He states that, “American has been something of a schizophrenic personality” because of the tragically division within itself and forgetting what the Declaration of Independence is focusing on since the beginning.
